02 Who we are

About our company

Pike Construction Group was originally founded in 2007 by Brad Pike. A backhoe operator with over 30 years full time experience. Initally formed as a sole trader under the name "Pikeys Plant Hire " Brad worked tirelessly for a number of years on major civil projects around the Greater Brisbane Region , Gold and Sunshine Coasts. In 2012 we became Pike Construction Group Pty Ltd. While mainly focused on backhoe hire for the first few years running just 2 machines, we eventually moved into contract works including electrical road crossing and sub soil drainage installations for clients such as Lendlease Services, Hall Contracting, Shadforth Contracting and Pensar Pty Ltd. After the events of COVID in 2019 we moved back to wet plant hire , going from 4 backhoe's and a few other smaller machines to just one backhoe and a 5.5ton excavator,positrak tipper combo. Now with the COVID pandemic and horrific wet season of 2022 behind us we are ready to build the business back up again with the purchase of some new upgraded combo equipment and 2 new 15 ton full GPS excavators . The future looks bright and we will continue to offer our clients an affordable , reliable and highest quality service .
